Many companies, authorities, institutions, but also small businesses have gone through IT hardware renewal processes over the years and decades. Data was stored in all years as archives or data backups on external media.
Due to the development in the EDP and IT world, some storage media have become obsolete over time and are no longer produced, nor are they supported by newer hardware and software systems. Thus, the files stored over the years suddenly become inaccessible.
With more than 25 years of experience in the IT sector and accompanied by the entire hardware development, we still have complete systems in our house with which we can access many generations of data storage. This means we can transfer data from older media to current media, such as USB hard disks or USB sticks.
We offer this service for the following storage media:
MO disks (magneto-optical disks)
PD disks (phase-change disks)
ZIP media (100MB and 250MB)
JAZ media (1GB and 2GB)
SCSI hard disks (50-pin, 68-pin, LVD - Low Voltage Differential)
PATA hard disks (IDE drives 2.5" and 3.5")
The costs for the data transfer are calculated according to the amount of megabytes to be transferred and a basic set-up fee for checking the data carrier for integrity and copyability.
The basic fee is displayed here in the shop at EUR 49 per data medium submitted. There is also EUR 0.50 per megabyte that is copied.
You can decide whether you want to send a target medium for the data to be copied or whether you want to buy a suitable one from us.
After the order has been placed, you will receive a questionnaire about the media to be copied, content and quantities here through the shop or by e-mail or fax.
If you send in several media at the same time in one order, we offer a volume scale based on the basic flat rate. Talk to us about this!
If you want to book this service, simply order here in the shop. We will contact you immediately after receiving your order.
